Our Story
Robert has been a licensed USCG Master for over 30 years. He currently holds a 200 Ton Near Coastal Masters with a towing endorsement and a MROP permit. Robert began is marine journey as a 9 year old deckhand on his father's drift gillnet boat in Cook Inlet, Alaska. Robert has operated and navigated vessels from Seal Beach, CA to the Aleutian Islands then as far north as Nome, AK and as far west as Hawaii.Robert has vast experience as a charter boat captain, drift gillnet fishing, longline for halibut and sablefish and jigging for cod and rockfish. For the past 12 years Robert has been the captain of various research vessels around the state of Alaska.
Zach married into the family in 2019 and has been part of the business ever since. He currently holds a 100 Ton Near Coastal Masters.
Adam has been fishing in Alaska for over a decade. He has worked on a variety of research vessels with exceptional experience drift gillnet fishing. Adam currently holds a OUPV Near Coastal license.
Dr. Roland R Maw Jr. - Roland has a Doctorate Degree in Forestry and Resource Management. Roland has been fishing and conducting research in Alaska for 53 years. Roland has 13 years of research experience operating the F/V Americanus. Roland was contracted by the State of Alaska Department of Fish and Game to perform salmon catch studies, acoustic surveys and tissue sampling of halibut for the IPHC.
Bart Robison has been running vessels for over 30 years from Alaska to Washington. He is an avid outdoorsman who loves the environment and participating in research projects.
